That's also true, Unfrumped.
Bijou, thanks for the encouragement. I read that and went and ordered my 100 tee!
It's black so perhaps I won't be as conspicuous as in my current pink get up.

So funny!
Usually those types of T’s don’t fit very well either.

100 runs - I am super impressed! That is definitely an achievement that is t-shirt worthy.

The tee wasn't a huge burden in itself, but I'm annoyed by the mass production of the tee shirts, and it does remind me of that. And I have one left, since I've done the race twice.
I am contemplating getting a free one for parkrun though, to commemorate having done 100 runs! That seems more significant, and I think the heat issue mightn't be too bad.

Sometimes things that seem like problems turn out for the best.

Yay -- you're relieved of the tees, which sound like they had become a bit of a burden.

Lol. Lilypup and I used to do this thing called The Moonlight Run at Halloween. Also too-heavy tees that I feel a little guilty about giving away. Then we can’t match anymore (she’s got a kerchief). Lol.

In my city there's an annual fun run which is highly successful in terms of participation - it's one of the largest events in Australia - and EVERY person entering gets a tee shirt. So you see them all over the place.

Although it's marvellous publicity for them, I've found it a bit annoying, because the tees are too hot for me to run in, and I'd much rather not have them. I've been in the run twice, only because my employer has paid entry (I usually go for cheaper running options) so I had two of these tees, and did use them a bit, mostly for cycling to work.

On Friday I rode in but not home, as I was meeting friends in the city after work. When I went to get my clothes from the drying room I discovered there was a cleanout on the weekend, which means everything gets put into some laundry hampers and if you don't pick it up in a few weeks it'll be donated.

All my clothes were in the hampers except, you guessed it, the race tee.
Someone must have mistaken it for theirs and taken it. But since I don't really like them anyway, I'm not at all fussed. (And I just wore my work top home).
