Yes!
I also discovered the foam inserts. They are the memory foam ones, right? You will discover they are so comfortable. I had to get more pairs for my other shoes and booties.

Thank you for this tip. I didn't think of ripping the lining off summer shoes. Will try!

Thanks Shannon; I do that all the time with my boots! I use gel inserts sometimes, if I know I am going to be standing in them for forever and ever

Just thought I'd let y'all know what I did to fix my Boutique 9 peep toe laceless oxfords to fix them, in case it helped someone out.

The leather lining of the shoes had completely fallen apart and had some rips and crinkles in it that caused the shoes to become very uncomfortable. I spoke with my cobbler about re-lining the shoes and was quoted $40. I wasn't sure I wanted to spend that much for shoes that are a few years old and weren't overly expensive to begin with.

So this morning I decided to see what I could do myself. I ripped out all the lining from both shoes so that I was back down to the sticky glue. Then I went to my local drugstore and bought a set of Dr. Scholl's foam shoe inserts. They are about 1/4" thick and I deliberately bought them one size larger than my shoe size so I could cut them to fit the shape of the shoe exactly. I made a template out of cardboard first to fit to the inside of each shoe (I actually did this before I ripped out the lining so that I wasn't putting the cardboard onto the glue) and then laid that over the foam insert and cut them out. Because what was left in the shoe after taking out the lining was sticky from the previous glue, I simply laid the newly cut foam inserts in the shoe and pressed down until they stuck. Because I had made proper templates, the previously lined bottom of the shoe was now perfectly covered by the foam insert.

The shoes have now been rescued from the purge pile, cost me a total of $11 and are even now more comfortable then they were before because of the soft and spongy foam.
