Hmm I just realised how ironic it is that "apple" is my username and my body shape......strange!!!

Hehe it means "apple" in Russian. I picked it as an internet nickname many years ago and it has stuck. My Mum is Russian and its one of the few Russian words I know!

Yublocka (how did you come up with that name!) is spot on. Go for the larger size and enjoy. You have inspired many, Lena.

Lena I've found that they don't stretch so much as soften up and mold to your shape. I don't think they will grow lengthwise. If you can't even wear thin socks comfortably with the smaller pair, I'd say keep the size 8s - after all you want to be comfortable when your feet swell up after walking around for long periods!

Ladies with Doc Martens, I have a quick question for you. I now have two sizes of red tall boots: US 8 and US 7. The smaller size doesn't fit any better in the ankle and below knee, but it's much tighter in the foot. So much so that I can hardly wear them around the house in cotton socks. Are these boots going to stretch a lot? My gut tells me to keep the larger size, but I'm a little concerned about stretching. My toes are happy in the larger size, but the rest of my foot needs a whole lot of cushioning/fabric to fill the empty space around the heel.

(I wear most of my boots with thick wool socks to avoid blistering, etc.)
