My favorite winter coat is forest green, and I feel like I'd look too Christmas-y with a red bag against it - I have a bright mauve/orchid handbag that works well with the coat instead. Additionally, two of my favorite pairs of comfortable pumps are red, which would be really matchy-matchy. My other colors are aqua, citron and apple green. Surprisingly anything true red really goes with everything.
