Nicole - you probably know from today's experience then that you were well dressed. I found when I went that respectful would simply be clean and well groomed. Most folks at least here were quite casual. I bet you looked great from the description of your outfit. Good luck tomorrow.

You always look respectable. Ana’s suggestion sounds great.

Hmm...I would interpret "respectful" as clean, with none of your bits hanging out. I'd say for district court, white jeans, closed toe shoes, a blouse, and maybe a jacket or more structured cardigan would probably be fine, if people were wearing jeans and a t-shirt last time you were there.

I have jury duty tomorrow. I know I'm supposed to dress "respectfully". Do you guys think my white jeans would be "respectful" of the court? Or should I stick to something more conservative, like a skirt?

Last time I had jury duty, I was shocked at the number of tee shirts and jeans I saw. Oh, and my duty is only a district court.

thanks!
