I think I'm okay! Found a site with free shipping in Canada, AND free shipping on returns, so ordered two sizes and we'll see if I like them, and what size. Wasn't expecting that!

This is going to be dangerous.................

Thanks to those who chimed in, will let you know if I become a member of the Okala club soon....

I am a 6.5 about 80% of the time and go up to a 7 the rest of the time. (Used to be a 6 - 6.5 before having kids.) I have the Okalas in a 6.5 and they are perfect now, but felt just a smidge tight the first 2 wears. Don't have the Hi-Ness, so can't help there.

Hi-Ness is sized small. I am between a 6.5 and 7 and definitely needed the 7 in the Hi-Ness. Not that they come in half sizes anyway, but the 7 is snug. Fortunately, fabric gives.

I find I am pretty much a perfect Euro 37. But between sizes in US sizes.

Sam Edelmans are not sized consistently between styles. I have Sam Edelman Pettys in 6.5. If anything, these are on the large and loose side for me. And I have Sam Edelman Sutton sandals in a 7 -- and they barely, barely fit (a bit snug across the top strap and my foot just fits the footbed in length.)

I ordered the Okalas in my smaller size per Angie's advice. I do not have a long foot. My foot is medium volume, I'd say. ETA: I have not yet tried the shoes as I still need to go pick them up.

I found the hi-Ness sizing small, I was assured by the store they were the same as traditional Cons, so ordered my size, and had to send back. I know Angie has both, so if she sees this hopefully she can chime in. I would typically NEVER order shoes online, but with these I've finally been worn down... :).

I might head over to the Bay and try on other Sam Edelman shoes to see if I'm generally wearing the same size in all styles, and how they fit. Then I'd feel more comfortable ordering.

Hmm, that's a toughie. I wear an 8 about 75% of the time -- I only go down to a 7.5 very infrequently, and up to an 8.5 a bit more often. My running and hiking shoes are a 9. My feet are on the narrow side, so for a shoe like the Okala, I would typically choose my smaller size. Probably not much help, I'm sorry. But I would tend to go for the smaller, and go larger if it were a shoe that required socks.

I'd be curious about the Hi-Ness sizing as well. I go down a half size to a 7.5 in the more traditional women's Cons, but I'm not sure whether that sizing translates to the hi-ness as well.

I'm a 7.5 and I got the Okalas in size 7.5 so they are true to size. Sorry, can't help with the between sizes issue. But I do have the Converse All-Stars in a size 5 (I always wear with socks).

I can't believe I'm asking this...

I've seen that they run true to size ... Well, I'm either an 8.5 or a 9. I have no clue what my "size" is! It really depends on the brand. Anyone else run between two sizes like this? And have got the Okalas? Did you end up on the high or low end?

Oh, here's a thought, if you've also got the converse hi-ness how do these compare in size? Angie?
