The finish is definitely more "dewy" than matte, and after a long day (or sometimes half a day) I'm shinier than I'd like, but it doesn't bother me enough to change- I get by with blotting papers when feeling self conscious. (smashbox primer and urban decay "all nighter" setting spray). I use Laura Mercier Silk Creme oil free Photo Edition foundation. I sweat in the summer. I don't use a lot of foundation but i know if I go without primer &amp; setting spray my makeup tends to "melt off my face". Do you live near a Sephora? I would go in and share your concerns regarding your skin with them. Get a color IQ for your skin (determines what foundations/tinted moisturizers-color &amp; type--work for you). Tell the people at Sephora that you would like 3 samples to take home. Try those samples and decide what you feel works for your skin (all day). I ALWAYS get samples before I commit to buying foundation/tinted moisturizer. What works for others may not work for me. Good luck. I honestly don’t need a lot of foundation.
