I can see how your old chambray shirt is more tailored, being cut into the body and thus more conventionally flattering. However, this more boxy shirt will be cooler to wear in the heat and I like it particularly semi tucked. It works beautifully with your colourful trousers. Whether this tomboy style is right for you, well only you can judge that because it is a change from your usual and very flattering silhouette that is shown with the knit top. The chambray cuts in to show your shape and the other skims it. The second might be cooler in heat.
