Nancy, Suz just posted several links to blog posts Angie's written about BF jeans over on Maneera's post here. How fun that you'll be experimenting with the style. Let us know how it goes or if you have questions once you start playing around with them!

Thanks. I'm also glad to hear that the slim and cuffed ones are easier to style. We just arrived at my parents' place, and I'll try to get a pic this afternoon.

Are they baggy BFs or slim ones? The slim ones are a bit easier to style (basically you can think of them as loose skinnies) but I think both are pretty versatile.

For tops, I think most of my tops work. The longer or more voluminous ones often benefit from a little semi-tuck (make sure you have a belt in that case) but it depends on your tolerance for waist surrender.

Shoes, I like my flat oxfords, slip on sneakers, sandals, and some booties. I prefer a little bare ankle/leg to show between the shoe and the rolled cuff. You might also like to tuck them into more fitted taller boots (I like to do this with my combat boots), which I think might appeal to your "pirate" side.

I think BFs are easier in general to style if you wear them with the
cuffs rolled. I do have an extra long pair that I wear full length
sometimes but all my others look odd without at least a little bit of
cuff. Oh, and you need a nice belt.

I love boyfriend jeans and wear them practically all the time -except when it's hot like now. I wear them with any kind of shoe - flat sandals, wedges, booties, tennis shoes. I roll mine up at the hem most of the time but some pair are long enough that I can leave them down - which I do in colder weather. They go with most of my tops too - t shirts, blouses, tanks, sweaters, cardigans. Angie has some past posts on this so search through those for inspiration.

Hi, all. I feel like I'm on a roll. I went to Nordstrom to return the NAS stuff that didn't work out...though I was pressed for time, I grabbed the NYDJ boyfriend jeans in my size, in petite a, that happened to be right on the table I was passing by

I tried this cut once before and disliked on me. This time they might be cute! I have to post pics separately later today, so you can let me know if they work for me.

But since I'd never followed the discussions here, am out with just my iPhone and can't really search the archives, I'd love to know how to style these. What types of footwear? What types of tops? Any other helpful suggestions? Thanks s million!
