I think it will be just as you imagine - uncomfortable in the long run.</p> <p>Re dyeing the boots: I've used Tarrago, It's creamy and easy to use. I have to touch up scuffs, though, but it's also very easy to do. The first link shows how I did it. Since then I dyed some Dansko sandal clogs, too, shown in the second link.
