I wear my wedding and engagement ring everyday on my left hand. Once in a blue moon I'll sport a mood ring in silver from a friend on my right hand. I'm not much of a ring gal. I'm also not much of a watch gal as I wear the same watch everyday and have done so for years. Sometimes I try to wear a bracelet but more often than not it ends up sitting on my desk at work at some point.

I love the look of rings on other people. I wear my wedding set on one hand and a small band set with ruby chips on the other hand. I like the way these rings look on my hands, and I rarely find others that look good on me. I don't know what it is about my hands that rings don't look attractive on them. (I generally like the way my hands look, and they look like my mother's, which I appreciate.) I haven't taken the time to explore styles too much, though. I'm finding it harder and harder to get my wedding set on and off my finger; it seems my knuckle is swelling.

Wow! Lots of love for rings. I see there are lots of people who don't like rings touching together. (jlpp, I make an exception for adjacent ring finger and pinky rings too, since they don't touch!). tulle, I think you've hit on the reason why I like rings so much -- you can see them while you're wearing them! Janet, I regularly wear large, bold rings as well, but I only ever put one bold one per hand. bridgie, there's nothing wrong with wearing more than five rings! I sometimes see women wearing rings on every single finger and it looks fabulous in a maximal kind of way.

I mix and match my rings pretty much. Sometimes I wear one on each hand, and sometimes I wear more. Do not remember ever wearing more than five. I am sure you all are thinking I hope you did not wear more than five.LOL. It has been a long time since I wore that many.

I like rings (jewelry you get to look at while you're wearing it) but rarely wear more than one at a time. Swollen joints from arthritis have made it impossible to wear some of my rings, including my wedding ring, so I wear one of the few that still fit on my wedding ring finger, coordinating with what I'm wearing: an oval silver and colored-stone Zuni ring, a large oval hyacinth-blue Tanzanite set in silver, or a cluster of tiny opals set in gold filagree.

Long wore a simple stainless pinky ring on right hand; it was training-completion related, a symbol of accomplishment at the time, so I suppose that could be considered tasteless if equated to flaunting privilege, or bragging. Generally, I don't love the feeling of anything on my hands or wrists, so at some point stopped wearing it.

There are a few ring styles I like, but I'm not sure what they signal, and I've noticed that I don't have a lot in common, stylewise, with the women I usually see wearing them. Is there a guide to this sort of thing? :-)

University rings as pinky rings, on men, usually signal that the wearer completed some not-selective program there. At least, that was my experience when single. I wouldn't want to discourage that sort of signaling by calling it tasteless.

although married (happily even!) I no longer wear my wedding set. I've taken to wearing a ring, usually fairly good sized, on my middle finger right hand. I have collected maybe a half dozen, some I would call cocktail rings I suppose, mostly costume jewelry, and I wear them to my office almost daily plus for going out socially. I think they are super fun, and really elevate an outfit. After being inspired here I purchased THIS https://www.leahalexandra.com/.....trine-ring from Leah Alexander, and I just love it. I am very likely to get a couple more rings from this site. And I like to wear my ring just a little big, won't slip over the knuckle but has a little movement. I only wear one ring at a time. Many years ago I wore pinky rings, probably in the 90's, but not drawn to that any longer. I am on team fashion ring!

I do make an adjacent exception with ring and pinky finger because they don't hit. I don't mind clanking but I don't wanna damage my rings with them rubbing. Here is a new dainty ring I got a catbird to stack and a pinky ring I wear a lot from Gemvara. You can customize small sizes there, btw. But generally, I wear either many delicate stacked ones or a big chunky one.

I have a lot of gold, gem and sterling rings. I love pinky rings. I don't wear rings adjacent either, but I do like more than one on my hand and I am all in for thumb rings, too.
I tend to get in ring ruts but ideally, I like switching them up regularly. Oh, knuckle rings, too!

Rings are my favorite jewelry. I always wear my wedding rings on my left hand, and some sort of statement ring on the right (always chosen after I dress for the day, to go with my outfit). I have literally dozens of rings and like to switch them up, depending on mood and what I'm wearing, but I will go through spurts when I wear a new favorite over and over.

I don't often wear multiple rings on one hand, mostly because I tend to wear large, bold rings, and I don't want them to clash with one another. I used to wear thumb rings, and I like the look, but have gotten away from that. Pinky rings slide right off my pinkies. I don't have a problem with any of those styles -- I've seen them worn very well.

I tend to buy rings from local artisans and boutiques when I travel. Below is a photo of my latest ring purchase, an inlaid opal design from a Navajo artisan in Arizona, with a silver one from a couple of years ago purchased in Chile.

I love rings too. This year my husband took up making rings from old silver coins (as a hobby) so I now have a lot more rings. I often wear a right thumb ring, 3 rings (1 thick band and 2 fine bands) or one big statement ring on my right middle finger and 3 bands (all fine) on my left ring finger (including my wedding band). Hubby is now making me one for my right index finger. I quite like maximal ring wearing and the rubbing together doesn't bother me. I do have big hands - so lots of real estate to play with.

I love rings. I have quite a few and I use to wear them more. Now I wear my wedding band all the time. I occasionally wear my engagement ring which I like a lot because it is a ruby and 2 diamonds. I wear another ring on my right hand if I am going out. I have a large collection. Lately I have been favouring my first marriage anniversary band. It is probably one of my favourite rings. I designed it. It is 3 bands (I have a thing about the number 3). Two of the bands are yellow gold and one is rose gold. The bands interlock. It is similar to a Cartier band but the bands are squared and not rounded.
I would wear rings on all my fingers but I don't like the feeling. I like pinky rings but I have never found one that works for me.

I keep trying new combinations. I have a couple of cocktail rings that were gifts. I have a wedding band and not-matching engagement ring. After a long period of not wearing any rings because they seemed fussy and got in the way of physical activity, I settled on wearing only a very tiny ring on my left hand. I can imagine stacking it with other tiny rings on the same finger. I'm right handed and I can not tolerate rings or bracelets on my right hand--this means that I always break a personal preference that I have against wearing ring/bracelet on the same side.

I've included my find of the tiny ring--the only one I'm OK with wearing at present.

Some days, I wear lots of rings. I rather like the sound of them clinking. Other days, I wear one per hand, with one always being my wedding ring (that one never comes off for more than cleaning). I think lots of rings or other accessories can be great. Just look at Iris Apfel.

How funny. I think of pinky rings as the sole province of men: and it should be their school ring. I like to wear the same ring over and over. I'll wear two or three on occasion. Never on every finger: I think that's too hippy for me.

Regarding pinky rings: what several of you say about pinky rings looking fussy or ostentatious on a man rings a bell -- I wouldn't be surprised if that's why my mum didn't like them. I'm wondering if it also might be a generational thing?

The Cat, I have mostly silver rings too. I like them. I particularly like blackened silver. My wedding ring is white gold though, and I have two yellow gold rings as well. I wear them all.

Laura G, I like huge rings too! I have a giant Keith Richards skull that covers my entire knuckle. It's hilarious. It gets more compliments than any other ring I own.

Diana, I'm like you -- I have tiny pinkies! -- size 2.5 on the left side and 2.75 on the right. I had my original gold wedding ring re-sized to fit my right pinky. It's laughably miniature. (Hubs bought me a new wedding ring with a lovely diamond for our tenth Christmas together, but I had it set in white gold so it no longer "went" with my original yellow gold ring. So now I have two wedding rings that I wear on different fingers!).

Joy, it's true that pinky rings are the hardest to fit. They have to be quite snug so they don't fall off. I have this trouble with index finger rings too. Middle and ring fingers tend to have bulkier knuckles, which keeps rings from sliding off.

Echo, I like thumb rings too, although I don't own one. My best friend has one that looks great on her. She said it took a while to find one that was the right shape -- it's kind of a zigzag band. I could see how you'd have to take care to find a comfortable shape for the thumb.

Sal, usually re-sizing rings is quite simple. I've had it done a few times and it was even fairly inexpensive.

binkle, I agree that multiple rings on one hand has a quirky or "artsy" feel. I like the look, though. I just don't like the feel of rings touching each other.

Alexandra, I don't wear rings while I'm working either -- be in at the drafting table or in the kitchen. Usually, when I come home, all my rings come off and go on their shelf -- even the wedding ring!

I wear my engagement ring and wedding band every day. Same ones always (I don't have another set, nor do I want one). Otherwise, no rings. I go in and out of patients' rooms all day, using hand sanitizer all the time so the fewer rings on my hands, the better.

Engagement and wedding ring always live on my left hand, and one chunky silver/turquoise on the right (I have several from the same artist and like to switch it up). Sometimes I might do two rings on the right hand, usually index and ring fingers, 'cause my rings are chunky and I don't like them clinking against each other. But that is not a favorite look for me personally, it feels a teeny bit too quirky/artsy or show-offy or something.

Pinky rings feel uncomfortable on my hand, but I don't have any judgement either way if someone likes them. Though on a man, it is kind of "wise-guy" and fussy.

I usually wear three rings - wedding and engagement on my left hand, and an amethyst on my right hand.

At the moment I am not wearing my wedding and engagement as they need to be resized as my knuckles are larger, and am wearing a dress ring given to me by my recently deceased MIL. I need to work out what to do as it does not work with the engagement and wedding rings so I may get them remade...just procrastinating.

I have one or two costume rings that I pull out in the evening on occasions.

I usually just wear one "ring" (or set of rings, as in a wedding band, spacer and engagement ring) per hand, but I don't have any issue with the idea of wearing more. I also don't have any inherent dislike of pinky rings on women - just on men. Just like it often happens with clothing, I will think I dislike something until I see it done well on someone else, so I leave the jewelry options open. Pinky ring? Thumb ring? Rings on more than one finger per hand? Large rings with bracelet/s? Not now to any of the above, but I don't necessarily rule them out on principle.

I wear one set of rings on each hand but like the look of multiple rings on others, especially if you have lovely hands. I tend to wear the same ones but would like to change my right hand ring more often. I have nothing against pinky rings but have never been able to keep one from sliding off.

I wear three rings minimum every day. My wedding band and engagement ring together on the left ring finger, and then another one (I have a few that I rotate between) on my right ring finger. I sometimes wear another one on my left or right index fingers, although I have fewer rings that fit those fingers. I agree with you that I prefer rings to not clink against each other so I don't usually wear them on the middle finger.

I have nothing against pinky rings, but my pinky is like a US size 2 or 3 and I've never seen a ring small enough for it!

How do people feel about thumb rings? I don't have any that fit my thumb currently but occasionally think about getting some.

I bought the perfect ring for me ten years ago and have never taken it off! Since it's huge--covers everything from one joint to the next--I think another would be overkill.

I think pinky rings got a bad rap because they became a symbol of ostentatious overdressing in males. But there's nothing inherent in the pinky finger that makes a ring looks tasteless on a well-dressed woman.

I wear one ring per hand. My hands are not among my best features. They were severely damaged in an accident when I was a child, and I don't want to draw too much attention to them, but I am comfortable with wearing one ring on each hand. And I feel that wearing pretty rings help others as well as myself to focus on them instead of the shape of my fingers.

I have nothing against pinky rings, but I don't wear them myself, as I think my hands look best when I wear rings on my middle fingers or ring fingers.

When at home, I switch up my rings with every outfit. But for a recent three weeks journey, I just chose one silver ring for each hand and wore them all the time.

Most of my rings are silver rings, in various styles. However, I am interested in adding some coloured rings to my collection. I just haven't found the right ones yet.
