Thanks for all your suggestions. I had a fab day wearing the dress today. I was able to keep the ruffly thing down and only had to adjust a couple of times today. What I found is that with the right bra and yanking the dress down, almost all the ruffly-ness went away. I wore this with black hose and black mary jane heels and silver and pearl dangly earrings. I also wore a smart casual denim jacket but actually preferred it without the jacket. I wore a lacy cami underneath so I wouldn't have to be self conscious about cleavage views as I stood in front of an audience and taught all day. I got tons of compliments!

I have that ruffly thing going on with mine as well...I've worn it to work without a cami, just tucked the ruffly bit in and adjusted the front so it overlapped on itself a bit and covers more. I didn't have time to pin it, but I didn't really need to adjust much throughout the day...so it worked out well.

Thanks for the tips. I will try it with my vest. My boots are a little equestrian so I don't know if they'll work. I'm frustrated since I"m out of a camera because of course posting would be the most helpful. Good to know that you all experience the ruffly thing too. Queenie - I got it in a 4 and I'm often a 6. So I doubt I could go a size down. Laura - I'll try it with the cami and see what happens. I will mostly be wearing it for work - I barely have an evening life right now. Good idea on white accessories - I was also thikning of my off white purse.

Hi Sihaya -- So excited you got the dress! That's how the front is on me too, it doesn't hang open, but it's a little, well, ruffly. I've worn it with a black cami and without, depending if I'm wearing it during the day or evening.

As for jackets, I've worn it with my black moto and black moto vest. They both work well. And I wear black tights and boots. For accessories, I wear a white enamel bracelet and stud earrings. Can't wait to see it on you!

sihaya- when I tried on a 10 in the store, I felt that way. The 8 that I bought didn't have that effect. However, I do plan to tack the front about an inch above where it meets for a little extra coverage.
Do you think you got too big of a size?

Thanks to everyone who posted about their nine west dress. I ordered one as a result and love how it flatters my body. However, I have three questions:

- The neck and shoulders are a bit "funny". In the front, there's sort of a droopy thing. Are people wearing cami's underneath to cover cleavage or leaving it like that? How do you deal with the droopy thing? Sorry not sure how else to articulate it. The entire dress is flattering but I don't think the neck and shoulders are for me.
- One thought I had was to wear a jacket on top. However, I'm at a loss as to what is appropriate. I will model some and post too once I have a new camera (old one died). But if anyone's tried it successfully with a jacket, I'd love to hear your ideas.
- I was going to try this with black hose and black shoes.
- Lastly, any ideas about accessories?

Thanks so much.
