Oh. I had no idea they were considered undies. I get it now. I too am wearing them right now. Soft. I am now a convert.

Ha! I had the same reaction when I tried them initially. I was hoping to layer them under a vest but nope. They really are undies!

Yep -- TTS for me too. Fits close, but I only wear them as a baselayer. Nothing worse than sagging long johns. I'm wearing a set of Heattech right now under a flannel and jeans (just got in from shovelling the porches -- definitely still winter here).

Undergarments are supposed to be fitted. Thermals too. These run TTS to me - but for some a size small.

Jules -- I feel the same way. I currently live in the South and I certainly don't need super warm undergarments. I bought them because my friends indicated that it would be "really cold" when we camped on vacation. I always forget to factor in what "really cold" means to a Southerner. I can't tell you how many times I dressed for a "really cold" Minnesota day only to find myself sweltering and cursing. This might be one more instance of me preparing for a "really cold" Minnesota day.

I'm going to try to make these work. My plan is to wear them as gear during next year's Winter months.

Thanks Laura -- the wrinkling escaped me. I get it now.

Yeah, I was gifted one but don't really have use for a super warm underlayer that is too clingy for the light of day. I need presentable layers I can shed as needed. To me, these are gear that I don't need - I live in Canada but am not skiing, etc, more likely on overheated transit or at the overheated mall or office, so I need my layers to be on the outside.

They're an underlsyer, so any looseness could add wrinkles on top. They're not really intended to be worn alone, or at least I never would.

Yes, mine fits the way you describe. It was super warm in cold weather but I would never wear it on its own. Since it is tight and not too thick, it can easily fit under knits or cotton shirts without adding a lot of bulk.

I am pretty sure they are supposed to fit that way, as not to get in the way of whatever you are wearing over them. Mine are my usual size (XS) and they are fitted, but not crazy tight. I did not find anything in the fit alarming.
I wouldn't want them looser anyway. I think they have to be fairly fitted to provide the heat insulation they are supposed to.

I bought two of these tee shirts for my upcoming vacation (and to use as gear next Winter). The reviewers indicated that they liked to size down for a close fit. I thought "close fit?" So I ordered one size larger than I thought I needed.

They arrived today. My goodness, did I judge this wrong. They do fit, but they are very, very body conscious. I won't be wearing them by themselves, but I can see every single line beneath the tee shirts (bra straps, bra band, jean waistband, pudginess).

Are they supposed to fit this way?
