I can't speak for Taylors (so hope someone else will), but I have some Carsons. They are not short, but I think the foot should be the same.

I am a definite 8.5 with a slightly wide, no arch foot; always B width because C width makes a shoe too big. My Carsons are size 8 and feel a little tight in the width. I only wear mine with tights/hosiery. I tried 8.5, but they felt too big - that I would need thicker sock to take up space and that's not what I wanted. . .

So no big conclusion, but I think my flat foot helps getting them on/off.

(Bumping for Lynne - and for me.)

I've wondered about this too, Lynne. The Frye Taylor and Frye Carsons are appealing, but I'm concerned about the difficulty of getting my foot into the boot. I don't have a wide foot, but apparently do have a high instep because I found the Frye Rory (tall, slouchy) boots very hard to get my foot into.

I love the look of Angies Taylor boots - the ones she wore with her Valentino 70's look :

http://sn120w.snt120.mail.live.....wsignin1.0

My foot is a wide fitting (c/d) and I have a high instep. Has anyone with a wider than B foot tried these? The reviews all seem to agree that it runs true to width. I can often size up and wear a B fitting....any advice?
