The sleeves are unique but, on to bigger and better fashion for you. I think you would have to have the perfect dimension whatever that is for this top.

I'm with Sara. I don't love the sleeves. I have seen you in other colors I like more. The concept is a nice one for you though - pic 1 Shows the style could be flattering.

I think you made a good decision. The wrap part of the top looks fine on you, but those sleeves are just really odd.

I tried on these tops. Pretty, although a bit too ruffly for me. I'm 5' 1" and short waisted and on the rose one in large the tie hits right at my waist. For an average height person it would hit above the waist. The rose color is a little too pink for my taste. The yellow one is a bit too olive. I look better In yellows like the last photo which is an EF linen sweater in a color called cantaloupe. Last but not least the totally open split sleeves feel very odd. if I had liked the colors better I might have thought of closing up the arm seams. Back they go, next!

Thanks for all the recommendations. I'm going to order the rose in a couple of sizes and will report back. Since that means I'll be returning at least one, I'm going to also order the gold color so I can get a photo of how that color looks on me for future reference. I expect it will be unflattering but I am often drawn to that color so a reminder will be good.

Given that the two product shots show the ties positioned in slightly different spots, it might be that you can tie it according to your own preference (good sign!).

Please let us other short-waisted gals know how it works out

Thanks for all the great advice! I absolutely would try this on before deciding, I do that with everything, and this sort of wrap arrangement can be great or can be awful depending on where it hits on the body and how it is constructed. Diana I very often use safety pins to close up necklines that are a little too low...part of my normal thing.

Janet and Angie why do you recommend go with rose over the "olive tawny"? I'll take a guess but I'd like your input.

Mustard-y or olive-y yellows are not good with my complexion although lemon-y and orange-y ones can be fine. Hmm...lots of food groups in that comparison :-) And the Rose is like blush but a bit warmer which would be good for my complexion and avoid too-pale colors which wash me out. Is that how you see it?

As a fellow short waisted person i am wary of that neckline. This says it is a true wrap which imo is very tricky for curvy short waisted people.

You may be able to pin or sew it closed though. It actually looks to me like the mustard one is pinned on the model, but it also looks less elegant and drapey.

I looked at this find, too! I'd like to try it on in the store, but I'm suspicious of the bagginess of the un-tied side. Also, I zoomed in on the fabric and took a look at the fabric content and I'm not sure that it would suit...

I find this kind of thing just needs to be tried -- it can be wonderful or terribly wrong on a short waist and big bust, and it seems to me like there is a really narrow window where that tie waist can hit for it to work (perhaps because I have so little real estate between bust and waist!).

I hope it works out -- I like the rose color for you.

Hi Chris, I'm glad you like it, too! (I can't decide between colors either.) It looks like a versatile top for summer, good with simple shorts and pants. I can easily imagine you wearing this well!

I'm short-waisted, and I think the tie would hit me right around my natural waist, but that's just a guess. I'll report back if I pull the trigger and get one. It would be a nice change from all the tees I've been wearing!

The tie would definitely sit too high on the long-waisted me, so I think that it is perfect for body types like yours. Leith is one of Nordstrom's in house lower priced brands. of medium quality. Sort of like Zara but less obviously trendy.

I love this find that was collected by Xtabay in the "olive tawny" color . It looks like the tie may be a little bit above the natural waistline, which could mean it would work for me since I'm short waisted.

Xtabay and others do you see it that way?

Do any of you have experience with this brand?

I can't decide which color would be better so I might try both.
