Ack! They increased the discount so were going fast— I pulled the trigger on the 31, figuring so can always take it in!

I have the Colette pants in faux leather, so I can't speak to the fit in any other fabricatuon. The faux leather pants run TTS to slightly small. I wear my regular size 27.

Have not tried a Colette in a knit fabric (at least that I can remember - maybe a ponte knit but not sure ) , but have purchased several over the years in denim, a stretch woven tech-feel fabric, and in cotton (a blend). Every pair is a different size - with the denim being the biggest and completely unrelated to my usual denim size.

Ah, thanks so much, you two! This really helps. I think I may have to just order a pair or two of the non-sale ones first to figure this out. Still, if anyone else out there has tried a knit version specifically and can speak to sizing, that would be great to know! Happy New Year to all!

Hi! I'm also usually a 30 in jeans and have tried a lot of colettes. Suz is totally right about the different fabrications, unfortunately. I have colettes in linen and denim in size 29 which still fit nicely, so they sometimes run a little big? But this year I added cords and size 31 seemed to fit best! Both the jeans and the cords are 15.5 in flat across the waist. I do find them very comfy but I like a high rise.

Alas, in my experience they vary considerably depending on the fabrication. I would guess the knit ones would fit on the larger/ looser side (or at least would stretch to accommodate) but I have not tried those.

I have one pair (in velvet) in my usual denim size; one pair (in pleather) in one size up. They fit similarly. I haven't measured them -- but I think the different fits have to do more with the way the fabrics behave or feel than they do with the precise measurement. Also, I wanted the pleather ones a bit on the loose side both for comfort and appearance sake.

The velvet ones stretch out a bit between washes. The pleather ones don't. Again, I'd expect the knit version to stretch a bit.

I think nuancedream has them in different fabrications, and Angie also has a lot of experience fitting clients in these. So hopefully they will pop in.

Hi folks, Happy New Year’s Eve! I know the Maeve Colette pants are very popular here. I have not bought any because high-waisted pants only work for me when they are “soft” and stretchy. Now these “knit edition” Colettes are on sale. I am trying to figure out what size has a 16 inch (or 15.5) waist. I have a lot of Maeve Margot pants and the Ms fit well, usually a 16 or 15.5 waist. But the Colettes are by waist size. In jeans I usually wear a 30 or even sometimes 29, so I don’t think of pants waists as always “literal” in the sense that a 30 means a 15 inch waist. But based on what I’ve seen on Poshmark, it seems maybe the Colettes are, eg that a 32 or 31 is what I need? Anyway, if anyone has a pair of Colettes in sizes around these and has wisdom to impart, I’d love to take advantage of these (final) sales. Thank you!
