Echoing Dana.
And honestly, in my eyes it would nearly be a shame to turn dressy jeans like these into frayed ones. Sorry, but you asked ...
If you like to add some hippie or boho vibes, why not choose tops and accessories in that style? A classic pair of jeans can be styled in a multitude of ways and will look current for years to come.

I'm with Dana. If these fit great and you're not wanting ankle/ crop I'd just wear them AS a trouser jean and hem them to the shores you're most lijelh r to wear with them.

Since these jeans are a little on the dressier side (and hard to find,) I'm wondering if you don't just want to cut them off and have them hemmed. Will you still have the proper proportion of the fading from the knee to the hem?

I have the opposite problem, and pants are never long enough. I AM wearing one pair of jeans with a released hem (done by me) that gives me an extra half inch. It looks okay, but not as intentional as my cropped frayed jeans.

Frayed long jeans have a different vibe to me, especially a full leg or bookcut, and I'm not sure that it is a fashion forward look vs 60's authentic bohemian.

Those look like they have potential. Cut a bit longer at first. You can always cut off more. Wash them and dry how you usually dry jeans to see how the cut edge acts. I usually do some trimming after each wash to neaten them up a bit but you may want a more ragged look.

Hi all. I just got a great pair of stretchy mid-rise trouser jeans from the Banana Republic Factory store (at a steal for $11). The fit is great with more of a straight loose look on me, but it is way too long. I'd like to cut them to have that cool frayed look but not sure how short I should go. I don't necessarily want to show my ankles and would like to wear flats with them. My inseam in 27" and here's a link to the photo: http://bananarepublicfactory.g.....d=44894100

Suggestions?
