I googled them and it does look like hemming would be doable. As Lyn said, it would mostly entail removing the cuff, maybe taking in the sides a little bit and sewing the cuff back on a few inches shorter.

Sorry you didn't take it to the tailor, think he could have done it, thus I don't know about prices where you live, of course. I am not a seamstress only doing DIY projects of bossing clothes for myself and family, but it doesn't seem to be a very big deal since the cuff will remain intact after making them off with a seam ripper (10min for that). Then making off the sides on 10-20cm (another 10 min).
Surelly the shortening has to be measured well especially that there is a drape there and the new side seams will have to also be taken in... somehow parallel and following the older ones to assure the same aesthetic even if shorter length. Then sew the cuff again, and voilá! Not a seamstress -again- but this would be me my humble concept for doing it.

Oh, they are lovely trousers; and I agree with Firecracker re: the alteration required. (It's something I've done myself.) Perhaps you could ascertain the cost of the alteration before you re-order. Best wishes to all.

A very common alteration that tailors do is shortening men's shirt sleeves by removing and reattaching the cuffs. I have no idea how expensive it is, but it is certainly something a professional could do.

I was smitten by some jogger-style pants by Lilysilk called Glen Fkex Worsted Trousers. They are still on Nordstrom website, but I cannot do Finds.
I had bought them awhile back & they were great except too long, AND have set-in cuffs with snaps. A great design plus except for how it affects hemming.
So I returned them.

I wish now I had at least taken them to my tailor just to hear how involved it would be, and if doable, the $$. I assumed it would be taking apart and reconstructing the entire lower pant legs. And pretty darn expensive. And that’s if it were doable and pants were not constructed in a way that some garments are, that seams and attach user nit what they seem ( haha).

It’s just that this is an enduring style for me and very hard to find in a kind of semi- tailored, and suiting sort of fabric.

Just wondering how crazy this might be?
