I don't have an iPad but browse YLF in the go a lot when I have a free moment from my iPhone. My personal wish list would be ability to read and reply to all forum threads from the app (perhaps real time could be in a separate tab or window?) and being able to easily read the blog from my phone-not having to resize to read and see pics clearly, similar to the mobile versions on blogs hosted by Blogger or Wordpress

That being said, I am thrilled to have YLF as "mobile" as it already is, and love having the forum at my fingertips for real time posts when I'm in the dressing room!

I was just wondering about this myself. I have *almost* full functionality from my iPad but I'm not able to upload photos. I see it's not just me then...

Greg, I use the main website far more than the app. It would be great to be able to load photos onto the main site using my iPhone and iPad, with iPad a priority. Currently I have to fire up my now rarely used PC if I want to post piccies x

The short answer is yes, but I'm not sure when we'll get to it.

The long answer...

We do want to improve the YLF experience on tablets, but in the short term that is going to come from improvements to website rather than an app for tablets.

In terms of tablets and phones, these are our two main priorities:

Make the website work better on tablets and phones.

Make the app on the phone (iPhone and Android) more general purpose. For one thing, support the whole forum and not just realtime threads.

The main functional difference between the website and the app, is that you can't use the website to upload photos on Android or iOS (iPhone/iPad). This makes the app very important for use "on the go", and in this situation the phone is our focus because it is the thing that you're more likely to carry.

I also have to point out that making the app for Android is much harder than making it for iPhone. There are so many different devices all running slightly different versions of Android and with different screen sizes etc.

As always, I'm interested to hear what YLF'ers think about the priorities for website versus app, and tablet versus phone.

Hi Greg,

I just got a Google Nexus 7 tablet and noticed that the YLF app is not compatible with it. Do you have any plans to support tablets? :)

Thanks!
