Thanks Louise. I wore mine almost everyday because they were so comfortable and I was never one to have many shoes, so they got some wear.

Thanks Meredith.

Thanks Angie. I already had a look at the current Rieker sandals (they have them in every departement store here), but I didn't see anything I liked. Maybe I'll stop at the Clarks store on my way home.

I second Louise - try Rieker and Clarks sandals.

I like the wedge shoes in the pics. The tan ones and the red! If the wedge isn't too high they might be pretty comfortable.

Yes Rieker. I had to return 2 pairs of my favourite red shoes as the metal brace bar was faulty but the shop happily replaced them and I'm a happy bunny as they are 12 hour+ shoes. My shoes don't get heavy wear though I perhaps wear them once a week x

Louise, do you mean Rieker? I often had shoes from them in the past but stopped buying them when my last two pairs were in pieces after just a few months. I don't know if it's just here, but the quality seems to be not as good as it was.

Lyn, I do too. I think the brown ones would be better for bookending, but the lighter ones could be a kind of nude on pale me. I also like the look of the red ones, but I think I'd like to start with a neutral, since I don't have any fab sandals at all at the moment.

Thanks Elly. I've read in the reviews that they tend to be wide, that's why I ordered them. I have fairly wide feet and often the problem that shoes are too tight. Good to hear that the second pair would be alright too, I wasn't sure. You're right that the wedges could be walkable, if they were higher or didn't have that elevated front I wouldn't even be thinking about ordering them. Also thanks for the translation!

Thanks Isis. I wore Flip Flops a lot in my teens, but not for some time. I think it may be alright if the leather is soft and I'm not shoved into it, like Elly said. I definitely walk a lot, I don't have a car and walk or take public transport everywhere. And I'm often en route for the whole day, so it's not possible to change shoes in between. I don't have nice sandals at all at the moment, so it wouldn't be excessive to get two pairs - I'm just not sure if I'll even find two pair that will fit. Love your Teva Sandals!

Astrid, I find those thing between the toes very uncomfortable, and can't wear flipflops. I think it depends on your skin there!

I like the red wedges a lot! You may not find them walkable for long distances every day. You probably walk more than most people here.....Can you get two pairs? I walk a lot, and I like my wedged sandals, but not everyday. I alternate my wedged sandals with flatter ones.

Here are pics of my flat sandals (Clarks) and my wedged (Teva)

Tims (as we call them in the US) are a great boot brand, so I expect similar quality from the sandals. They tend to be a tiny bit wide on me, so I don't have a pair.

I like the look the the first ones, and the second ones aren't quite as cute, but they don't go into the "frumpy" territory. The wider strap may be more comfy across your toes.

The wedges are very cute--- once you factor in the elevated front, they aren't more heeled than most low boots-- I wear mostly flat shoes, but would find that walkable--- unless you have fairly low arches you might find them more comfortable because the little rise will probably support your arch a bit.

The part between the toes is a "thong" in english-- or at least here! I think it would depend on how securely the straps held your foot and how soft the leather was. I don't think that wedge is high enough to shove your feet forward into the thong.

Thanks Lyn! Yes, the ones above will definitely go back. I like the ones you have, they're very pretty. Good for you that you made them comfortable again! I just think I couldn't deal with only these tiny ankle straps, everytime I try sandals like this, I take them off very fast.

I agree that if sandals' straps hurt your little toes (poor little toes!) then you should look for other ones; I do not have any firsthand knowledge about Timberland sandals, but I have a pair of all day sandals that are 2.5" wedges from Clarks ... they are very comfy!

I did doctor them with a gel pad; also after two years, the leather rubbed a bit against my skin so I used sand paper and a wood file (haha; my dad was really confused when I asked to borrow his tools) :p

Good luck!

PS: I have these in a different colour (1)

I'm still searching for comfortable summer sandals and had ordered the sandals below from Timberland. I'm returning them because the front straps are too tight and placed awkwardly for my little toes and I don't like the look of the braided strap on me. But they are really well made and comfortable otherwise and I'm thinking of trying another pair.

My other option for a flat sandal would be #4-5. Do you think they look frumpy or could they be worth a try?

Or #6-7, but they are heeled and I normally wear only flats. I have no idea if I could comfortably walk all day in them and I need everyday sandals. I'm also not sure about the thing that goes between your toes (how is that called in english?).

ETA: They are also available in red and white/taupe.

Should I try one of these? Or continue to look elsewhere? And is there anyone here who has Timberland sandals and can say something about the quality?
