In that case, smittie, I definitely think you should try the ones I recommended above. They even fit me better than the Feathers, and I have the same issue as you. And also try the Le Mystere Sophia lace underwire bra.

Edit: I wear a 32F in the Freya and the Le Mystere, 32G in the Natori and Chantelle. The Freya fits the tightest, the Le Mystere in the middle, and the other two on the loose side.

Marilyn and others: Yes, I went down a band size and up two cup sizes in the Feathers model.

DonnaF: thanks for the link to bratabase. I didn't know there had been so much research done on breast shape and size and positioning.

It makes me think that the Feathers is actually a little WIDE and that I should try the Freya line, with cups that are closer together.

Diana: it was so interesting to hear your experience with this bra. The feathers actually bisect my boob almost at the half way point, and the cup is big enough (and the lace, forgiving enough) that there is no quad boob. I have a long torso.

It is encouraging to know that there ARE options for bras and that not everything has been consolidated around 1 pattern, which is what t feels like for regular clothing.

I have 3 of the Natori Feathers bras. They are my go to for a pretty bra as they come in a size 30 band which is hard to find. This particular bra runs small in the cup (sizing up one cup size recommended). I am a 30DD but wear a 30DDD in the Feathers. I would be hesitant to order any other Natori without a try on first.

I purchased the Feathers for my DD recently. The SA at Nordstrom's told us that she often has clients size up in the cup for this one particular bra.

I agree that shape is more important than brand. So the feathers does not work for me at all, despite it seeming like it would be a good fit based on width and separation and things like that, because it turns out it is too TALL for my very short torso (the top of the cups come up way higher than my boobs do) which results in the cup shape being totally wrong (far too shallow with a lot of empty space at the top and crazy squishing at the bottom). I do far better in a demi or balconette style which tends to be overall shorter in the cup and I have found other Natori styles that do fit ok.

YAY. Love your pretty bra.

The same bra size in the same brand can still fit differently in my experience. Take it one style at a time in a brand that usually fits well.

So glad this one works for you! In July you can stock up at NAS. I buy them then. I take a cup size up in the Feathers. I don't know about the other Natori bras but it's worth trying a few if you can do it with free returns. I agree with what Jeneva is saying -- you can look at cup shape and spacing between cups for clues -- but sometimes you'll find a very different style that will work just as well. I do well in the Feathers but not other plunge styles, for instance.

I think you have to look at the shape of the cups to find something similar. I do better with a straight-across or nearly so cup design, and I know without trying that a more angled cup is going to be horrid on me. Since not all Natori's have the same cup shape I'd say no...but you can probably look for similar cup shapes/styles in order to guide you towards others that would fit similarly...

I only have the Feathers style in Natori and love it. You might call Nordstrom and talk to someone who fits bras. They really know the bras well.

Thanks. Ok. I think i'll stick with the feathers for online purchases.
The next time in nordies, I'll ask to try those other styles/brands.

I can tell you from experience a definitive no. The feathers is the only one I can wear. They don't all fit the same, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't try the other ones.

If the feathers fits you well, maybe you have a similar shape to me. I also quite like the Chantelle Intimates Parisian underwire T-shirt bra and Freya Deco underwire moulded plunge bra. The Chantelle has a looser band like the Natori. The Freya fits a bit tighter.

I bought a Natori feathers bra last fall at NAS, and then also bought a Natori hidden glamour model in a slightly smaller cup size. I had an SA helping me who seemed pretty well versed in bra fitting. The sizing is a little different for those two models. Hidden Glamour model shown in the find below...you can see that it's a little different from the feathers model..more coverage for example. .

I got my first truly well-fitting bra yesterday: the Natori Feathers.

It's the first bra where the underwire, cup and band size all work in unison for me!

Anyway, I am wondering whether it's safe to order other natori models in the same size, or whether I need to stick to the feathers model.

Thanks!
