If you like the look, my favorite thing about pleather leggings is that nothing sticks to them! I have had to do the slip thing with certain dresses too and I was pleased to find that all my dresses just skim right over the pleather.

It sounds like I need different leggings. Even my sweater dresses cling to my leggings although not as bad as something made of a thinner fabric.

lisap - You reminded me that my sister just gave me a pair of skirted Athleta leggings that didn't fit her. They are made out of an athletic fabric so shouldn't cling as much. I need to figure out how to style those so they don't look like a super short skirt. I think I remember seeing some posts about skirted leggings a while back.

I don't but knit leggings but try to find woven skinnies instead. My sweater dresses don't cling then. I do have one pair of knit just below the knee leggings but only have worn them with woven dresses. Maybe two knits together cause cling, especially if the top isn't heavy enough.

I've had this problem with some cotton tunics clinging to cotton-rich Hue leggings. Not all do it, so it's partly how "sticky" the tunic is. I have one that's awful so I do wear a super short slip with it. Tops with a finer weave, or are no-iron finish, tend to not be so problematic for me. The top that is really sticky I got super cheap only because I love the print, and it's very casual. So I wear it with slick running leggings, which seems to help.

Sara - I wear danskin leggings and the only thing that I ever had trouble with was the all saints flora mortis tee shirt. It did cling and back it went. I have several tunics of different fabrications from EF - the silk is particularly lovely. But I've worn merino, ponte dresses, cashmere and no problems. I would worry about anything thin and cotton like a tee, but I would bet anything silky or with more heft would work. Hope that helps!!

Interesting - I'm a leggings wearer in a big way, and have never had any issue with tops clinging. Now that said, I'm wearing longer pieces on top that cover, which takes a Tshirt out of the picture (which I could see clinging). I don't buy cotton leggings ever as I find they pill too easily and don't give the look I want - mine are usually an athletic fabric blend, or with a fair bit of lycra.

I only wear cotton or modal leggings (I find the poly type itchy) and they generally don't cling much, especially the modal which feels rather silky. The find below is my favorite modal leggings from Gap. I don't find my cotton or cotton/modal ones to be very clingy either.

I have a question for all you ladies that wear leggings. I like the idea of wearing leggings and tunics but I've never been able to get it to work. It seems like the fabric of the leggings and tops always stick to each other. I've worn leggings under a dress and usually add a slip like I do with tights to keep them from sticking. Tunics are generally not long enough for a slip, plus it seems to defeat the purpose of comfy and easy that I associate with leggings and tunics.

Am I missing something? I just have the basic HUE leggings, nothing fancy. Do I need a different type of legging? Maybe only silky tops and nothing jersey or knit?
