I agree with MuseumGal. Fidjis were comfortable for me until I started having foot issues. The ones I've seen and owned are a fairly flexible sole and no noticeable arch support.

Thanks MuseumGal. Bummer. Yes, they are beautiful but I like happy feet better.

I think of Fidjis as comfort shoes for people who don't actually need comfort shoes. They are beautiful and well made and seem to be very comfortable *for those who don't already have foot issues*. I find them too flexible and too narrow in the toe. No arch support either, although that's not a deal breaker for me personally. Sigh. They are gorgeous, aren't they?

Elle - the ones I'm looking at are on line and I get tired of the order, return game so I may not take the chance. I'll have to wait until I can try some on in a BM store to see how they work.

I haven't tried any this season but the ones I tried last year did not have much in the way of arch support. Too bad because they were so stylish. Is it possible for you to try on the sandals you are considering? Sometimes shoes work on my feet that I didn't think would

I don't suppose they are mutually exclusive but I do better with a rigid sole due to arthritis. So they might not be a good option for me. Darn.

Are stable (i.e. hard) sole and arch support mutually exclusive? I prefer a shoe with a flexible sole but didn't know that ruled out arch support...hmm..

Anyway, all the Fidgis I have seen had flexible soles, but I am not an expert.

Hi everyone. I have been eyeing some Fidgi heeled sandals for spring/summer. I have only tried on one pair of Fidgi shoes and those were the black, pointy toe booties that were an Angie pick about a year ago. Sadly they did not work for my feet as the sole was too flexible. For my foot issues I need good arch support and a stable sole. Do all Fidgis have the flexible sole? Does anyone who needs good arch support have luck with these?
