It's interesting that a new discount store in our local mall has called itself Racked. Only just occurred to me there could be a connection there. It is selling highly discounted brands- some very high end ( for us), others not so much but expensive here due to exchange rate so usually way more, like Not Your Daughter's Jeans USA and Lisette L Canadian. I paid $159 for my NYDJ in 2015 at an outlet which was still a big reduction so to see some for $20 is a steal. Obviously all the styles are past seasons but for most people that wouldn't matter. I do enjoy the hunt for a wildcard, but have tried to stay away from such places in recent times while wanting to overall reduce the size of my wardrobe and trying to be more picky.

These types of stores (Nordstrom rack, tjmaxx etc) often buy leftover lots and never get all sizes to begin with. For example they may buy a specific sweater from a mfg-er but they only get xxs sizes because that’s all that was left and available at the discounted price. You have to enjoy the hunt, and if you do not enjoy it you may decide these stores are not for you.

yes, the whole idea of stores like the Rack, Marshall's, TJMaxx etc is the hunt.....so yes, there will be limited quanties and items will sell out quickly.
https://www.retaildive.com/new.....nking/4344

There are two types of things at the Rack: items that are only sold there or at equivalent stores (this includes some things from high end brands like Vince, and some house brands), and things that are leftovers from Nordstrom stores. That second category, they really don't have many in stock to begin with. The first category has wider size selection. But also, my experience is that a lot of the best Rack things are never online.

Sometimes things come back in stock. I’ll check in on items over time and sometimes get some good luck.

It seems like every time I look at the N. Rack website, most things are already sold out in the majority of sizes. Do I just have bad luck when I look at it...do things really sell so fast that as soon as they go up on the site, they are gone??? I don't know why if there are no sizes or colors left in an item, its still up there? I see this time and time again be it dresses, shoes, tops, etc etc.

Thanks for any explanations anyone can offer.
