&#060;p&#062;I have a personal policy that even cheap things should last one season (as in even Target has a 90-day return policy and will take back defective items in it).&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;Nicer quality items should last longer than that!  And, if defective, SHOULD go back to merchant as 'defective'.  Then they go can back to the manufacturer - so the manufacturer knows they need better quality or quality control.

I would have had it fixed but I would been mad and probably would have never bought another bag from them.  If I take it in tonight I will have it back on Mon.

&#060;p&#062;I had a pair of nude flats from DSW that started to discolor the first day I was wearing them. It was the strangest thing. I returned them as defective. The manager was reluctant to credit me and said, &#034;I'll do it this once, but just so you know in the future, if you think you're going to return the shoes, don't wear them.&#034;&#060;/p&#062;
&#060;p&#062;Hello? I didn't THINK I was going to return them! They ended up being made of crappy leather that went all wacko while I was wearing them!&#060;/p&#062;

Some times I check in which country something is made before I buy it (e.g. I have higher hopes for something made in France or Italy), but it never stops me from buying something I fall in love with.

				<description>&#060;p&#062;I bought a BCBGMaxazria bag in March.  The strap is coming apart. I have used in quite a bit when traveling this spring but I don't think it should come apart.&#060;br /&#062;
The cobbler says he can fix but really I don't think it should need to be fixed this early in the game. I'm just ranting because I hate spending money on things that fall apart.
