Diane, I was looking for a drapey ivory cardigan for you. It is not something you could sew, but it is something that would look fabulous with your existing t-shirt wardrobe and your coloring. Then I saw that the cardi came in a warm green color, and I thought... you would look fabulous in that, too!

I wasn't sure whether to bump this thread again, as it's been going a little while, but I couldn't mot say thanks Echo and It's funny, because I had been trying to think of cardigan alternatives and I was wondering about a knit blazer or moto. I love the colour of the first one. You're right, it would be smart for client days.

I am sorry to be so late, as we have been gone for the past week, but I immediately thought of knit blazers when I read about you liking movement (especially on your top half), but structure at the same time. Additionally, they make any outfit presentable for clients, IMO. The last one isn't stretch, but the muted colour and subtle pattern made me think of you.

What fantastic suggestions!
I'm a little late to the party, but thought this tee might appeal to you, Diane, as you've been into graphic tees lately. It has that controlled drape you are after, and the soft blue colour palette will look lovely with your colouring, I think. I also like that it's an all-over print with feminine vibe, and if you look at it closely, some of the flowers remind me of musical notes (but perhaps that's just me).

Amy you've done brilliantly! Love, love, love the suede skirt (if only I had the pennies for it). I do wear some blues too, so the tie-dye dress is lovely. I really like the shape of it. I have a length of jersey and was planning on doing a similar shape, so it's spot on. The pinky/coral Grecian dress is divine and I really like the chiffon blouse shape. Thanks so much!

Hi Diane! I usually have a bit more time to shop for someone than I do for you this week - I'm sorry! Nevertheless, I found a few things that I like for you, and hope that you do too :)

First is a slightly more interesting than basic skirt, in a gorgeous color, and a fun-to-sew fabrication (leather).

Second and Third are a drapey grecian-type dresses (one more beachy, one more formal). I don't think the blue is your colors, but I loved the shape and drape for you anyway :)

And finally is a top that I think is a great shape and drapey enough to be a tee substitute. Again, it's not really your colors - but I can see you making it up in a delicious chiffon.

Thank you Diana, I would definitely wear the blush tee with chiffon in the drape! Silk chiffon too...very luxurious!

Super choices Debbie! I love the eggplant shade of the jersey dress. It looks comfy as well as oh, so stylish. I do love me a cognac and burgundy bootie too, plus I wear mostly stacked heels. What great choices. You have me sorted for Autumn :)

Umlilia, that's a very glam kaftan. All I need are some huge sunnies and strappy sandals and I'm sorted. Thanks!

See, now you've done it Peri... I have some olive green jersey that would look fab like that Bobeau cardigan...ooh, I was going to do a top but I may have changed my mind. I do love olive. And the coat! Love it. The sweater is a beautiful sagey teal. Yum!

Thanks for your great choices Sharan. That is a great style of neckline on the blouse. I would definitely consider a tie neck, and as you say it would be good under the awesome animal print jacket...love that moto! I like the floral pattern on the shell tank too. I've been enjoying more florals this year and that kind of larger bloom design really appeals. Finally, another fab jacket. What an unusual texture, very rich. That would go with so much in my wardrobe.

Una, that's the kind of blouse I would wear, definitely. I like a pop-over style that has no actual collar and a mandarin one. Lovely, thank you! And thanks also Una for setting up this challenge. Being on the receiving end is amazing! You ladies seem to have me pegged. I don't think a single item has disappointed me at all...you are awesome!

Diane, I know you said you don't wear buttondowns but this is more of a light draped blouse - I have it myself but this coral seems perfect for you. The back is pleated and the ability to tuck for structure is really good.

I decided to shop Nordstrom Anniversary Sale for you, Diane. I chose a scarf tie blouse. Since you don't wear button-downs, I thought a flowy, feminine blouse would suit you well. And I'm envisioning the leopard-print moto over it, with a pair of bootcut jeans and some of your fab booties. (These prints might not actually look that great together in real life, but I like the idea of some subtle pattern-mixing with the leopard print jacket. And the mix of the feminine scarf blouse with the tough moto style jacket.)

I also chose another blouse and jacket combination, by St. John, for your sewing inspiration. I can see these colors and style on you. To me they look feminine and soft, yet structured by the jacket's lines, with a very rich color combination in golden hues that would play up your gorgeous hair and eyes.

I've been thinking all day and I keep coming back to thinking of you in particular shades of green. I think sage or olive green colors would be so great on you. And since I'm so absorbed with NAS right now I just went with that!

We are very similar in needs...soft, cozy, work at home clothes that still look professional. I keep seeing you in a soft green fuzzy poncho, but I'm rejecting that idea because you have to use your arms and hands. I couldn't teach piano in a poncho and I doubt you could sew in one. Anyway, I pick for you these three things.

Lots more goodies, thanks all!

Alasse, I had a think about a maxi skirt and one casual option I could try, as I've been getting a few graphic tees lately, is to knot a tee at waist level to reign in volume and to wear some strappy low wedge sandals. For a topper I could add a denim jacket. Another thought is perhaps a broderie anglais, structured, waist length boxy top, perhaps one that has a decorative edge at the hem. This option would be a little dressier.

Astrid, those are beautiful scarves and so soft I imagine. I actually really like the striped one as it looks a bit more colour blocked to me. A lovely mix of colours. Thank you!

Nice picks Viva! I'm particularly drawn to the turtle neck sweater. It looks very luxurious to me. Great robe and I'm liking the semi sheer bottom on the tee. Lovely warm neutrals.

That's a great dress for an evening out Coco. Isn't the back neckline detail fab! You're right, a nice amount of structure and softness.

Thanks Textyle! Now, why aren't I doing beading on my sewing?? That's a lovely detail on that top

Love that dress, Columbine! Yes, that's the kind of drape I like. Not too overpowering. I zoomed in on it and I think I can work out how the drape is done. Fab!

One in a solid:
http://www.johnstonscashmere.c.....stole.html

And one to dip your toes into stripes:
http://www.johnstonscashmere.c.....scarf.html

I picked a maxi for you. With your softly feminine style, I'm curious what your version of a maxi skirt outfit would be.
https://www.liketwice.com/bcbg.....420652097/

I have chosen a NZ handbag. I have seen you wear animal print brilliantly, and I can see this going in your closet. At over $700 it is a dream purchase, but hey that is what this game is about The brand is Deadly Ponies.

The bag's name is cute, Mr Mini Pomper Cheetah

Here is the link.
https://deadlyponies.com/colle.....er-cheetah

If you are feeling like spending over $1000 go for Mr Pomper Cheetah..shown here in a different colour way.

Aaah virtual shopping is fun.

WOW! You ladies are the best!! What a treat to look all these fab picks after getting back from a mundane grocery shop.

Carla, I would definitely wear those items on vacation in Greece...gorgeous! Love DVF too Beautiful print.

Manny, how sweet, love the picks! I definitely love those sandals and the tops and dresses are great. Very hard to pick favourites though. Love the drape styles and the chiffon Ann Tylor dress is so pretty plus it comes in navy and poppy..yum! I really like that print on the Riess top and that cowled Elle Tahari top has a lovely waist defining shape.

Rio, what a great coat! You've even found a pattern I agree, cool seaming detail and yoke shape and fab colour.

Deb, great picks as well. I'm intrigued by that coat. I Love the collar shape and storm flap detail. I could easily see #3 worn over #4 I do love me a crazy pant! I can also see how incredibly comfy the burgundy dress would be to sew in and look smart for clients. #4 would be good over that too.

Love that for a beach cover up Ramya, or even to pop on at night with strappy sandals. I really need something like that actually. The turquoise is great.

I can honestly say I'm thrilled with all these picks so far. Thank you!

By way of inspiration, here's a beautiful looking coat by Derek Lam. I love the feminine line on that contrasting yoke and princess seam detail. And you'd look sensational in this colour.

I'm not even sure if it's hit the shops yet. I think you could fashion a convincing knock-off with some alterations to this pattern.
