I have a burgundy pair and an older denim pair and I concur with Diana -- they have a different hand and feel. I like them both, actually, and don't find the coloured ones too stretchy even though they definitely have a bit more stretch and they are lighter weight. I have the same size in coloured and denim, too -- my regular denim size -- but the denim ones currently fit me more snugly due to weight gain, whereas I don't notice that in the coloured version, which I guess has a bit more ease due to the stretch.

I love this cut of jean beyond reason. I wish I'd got the olive but the people at the Ottawa Nordstrom told me they were not available in the Canadian system. By the time I learned you'd got a pair the sale was over...

I think all the colored ones are regular? I haven't tried the olive but I have previously tried the burgundy and the black in a store and they were both regular anyway.

Diana, any idea if the olive ones would be regular or high rise? It doesn't specify on the website, so probably regular?

Thanks Diana.
I actually don't like stretchiness in denim, but I don't mind it in the coloured ones. I do like the idea of the denim ones being more "substantial". Going up one size concerns me though, not sure if Nordstrom Canada carries them or not (although come to think of it, the olive ones came from one of the Canadian stores). I don't mind (so much ?) paying shipping if I know I want and will keep the item, but am not so keen on gambling. Hmm.

Lisa, my Dre's are my regular size... 8/29

Oh, one other thing. There are different rises in the denim, a regular (which is like a mid rise) and a high rise. I think if it's high rise it's usually denoted in the name or description (If they don't say anything it should be the regular).

Oh, I don't love stretchy coloured denim either. I may try the regular denim .

I like these too from all of the posting here over the last year. I've never seen them in person though. Do you wear your regular size? I'd love a pair in a dark wash, and even this olive.

THE fabric is different. The colored ones (which have some percent of tencel) are much stretchier and the fabric feels smoother and thinner. The denim (98% cotton) is only mildly stretchy and has a nice velvety, heavy hand. I’m the opposite of you. I love the denim ones but don’t care for the colored ones (because I don’t like the stretchiness.)

Also you may need to go up one size in the denim due to the reduced stretch. I take my regular size in the denim but get the same fit in the colors with a size down.

I bought the olive Dre's at NAS, and I love them... best jeans, EVER. Rarely am I interested in wearing jeans when I know I'll be sitting for hours at a time (ie driving/traveling) or doing stuff around the house, but these ones I'm happy to wear in these situations. So it's got me thinking that maybe I should start stalking prices and washes in regular denim. So for you jean connoisseurs... are all Dre's created equal? If I love how the olive ones fit, are denim ones going to fit similarly?
