It's a soft fabric in a swingy style; black polka dots on black background; lined in black.</p> <p>It's the same length as a petite boot skirt I have but don't wear b/c I don't like the A-line shape and somewhat stiff tweed fabric.</p> <p>I do think my legs are on the long side and my waist on the short side. Either that, or most clothing manufacturers think all short women need a short inseam (26 to 28 inches). I need 29 to 30 inches, depending on the shoes I wear. I like them both. I wouldn't say that it is a real brand with a particular vision and direction but rather an in house take on contemporary trends, at a good price point. It appears to be the right midi length on me, too, even though I'm only 5 ft. 2 in. tall. Sometimes I wonder if I'm a long-legged petite, as I also need longer inseams on my pants.
