The vest is a lovely color! Continue to wear the pink vest as an extra layer under a jacket or coat or as an indoor third layer on cold days to get more use out of it. The season for the vest is very short here, so I’m glad I squeezed in a good outfit with it. Nikki, Angie, approprio, finding a photo spot is almost part of putting together an outfit for me these days (almost—there are still those shots in the hallway), Nuancedream, CarolS, and approprio, thanks for the compliments for my son. I was so happy to hear him say recently that he likes looking in the mirror again (after a bout of acne last year). We think he is built like me. Nuancedream and Angie, the match to the vest is what I was going for. Glad it kinda sorta works. Thanks Minaminu. Pink has become a friend of mine. Bijou, you are wonderfully observant. This is a last visit to Disney World the spring before we left the country. He is 15 in this photo; your son must be nearly that now. My sweater is a cotton/silk mix that I love. I’m sad that WinterSilks is defunct. Kkards, I’m not good at naming undertones, but you are likely reading it correctly; I frequently find warm colors like red, pink, and some purples, work well with the pants. Thanks Katerina. I think the warm colors and hair matching are things I do instinctively, like you and high contrast. My son was so delighted on that coaster, we rode it over & over. It’s one of the last times I heard his little-boy laugh, so is a favorite memory (he still laughs, but with a much deeper pitch). And I’m surprised at how well they work. The pants are damask, so not quite so boring up close, and the 3 color blocks each have different textures, so there’s that. I wanted to borrow my son’s sweatshirt, but he said no. I think my old fave raspberry sweater works, but must sadly admit that it’s on its last legs and the shape of it somehow highlights the little belly I’ve put on. Before Synne has a chance to tell me, I see it & will say it myself: The pale pink socks were clearly wrong—should’ve gone dark, like the pants.
