Thanks for the input. Sometimes you get a niggling feeling but need confirmation.
I did the final BF test; just devised it on the spot. I call it 'like/don't like/don't care'. It ranked between don't like and don't care - so, out it goes!
Anyone interested? It's a great top, just not for me.

Suz's last line resonates with me. I see you moving towards more sophisticated looks lately. I'm hyper-aware of this now as *sophisticated* is a rubric I'm leaning on quite heavily these days, while staying true to my rock'n'roll roots. It's caused a few items to leave my closet in recent weeks. As cute and flattering to the body as this top is, I suspect it is snagging on your sophistication filter as well.

I think it's the neckline that reads "sweet." It looks great, in terms of pure figure flattery - and you have a great figure to flatter! Also, the tones are nice with your skin tone. So if you want it as a layering piece - or as lounge wear - I say keep it for that. I can see it filling a use for a while that way. But as out-in-the-world wear my sense is that you are more sophisticated in your tastes now.

I think the first one is too sweet/soft for you, more than bombshell. Maybe it's the neckline?
Set it free.

Mo ~ A cardi was exactly what I was thinking...(naturally, right? ;)...it would soften the jerseylicious aspect and kick it in a more conservative direction. Worth a try!

I like your second leopard tank much better on you, and I'm trying to articulate why. . .the first one leaves a great amount of décolletage and not just low, it's wide too. I think that's why your hair covering some of it in pic #3 helps.

If that's it, then covering it up on the sides like you pictured with the purple sweater might do it.

Actually, maybe it's just too wide and too low for where your style is at right now. I also think the print maybe isn't grabbing you in its lighter colors and it's softer leopard feel.

Your alternative leopard tank is somewhat darker, but a bolder, graphic leopard print.

I really like the top on you, it fits so well! But I'd maybe wear it loosely tucked in and under a blazer. Or you could save it for a dressier occasion and wear it tucked into a pencil skirt and killer heels.

That makes perfect sense Mo, espesh since you have another leopard tank. I didn't want to diss this top because it might be perfect for someone else. It's amazing how different things look on different people. You are a perfect example of how loose items can still be alluring in a very understated way.

Hmm, I have worn it with my somewhat loose black cargo skirt. That's honestly what I put it on with this evening but I just looked in the mirror and thought, "that's not what I'm trying to portray." So I changed into my looser modal olive green tee and felt oh so much better instantly.
Claire, I think contrived is a very good way to describe what I was trying to get at. I've tried it with white jeans and a denim jacket, with BF shorts, tucked into a cargo skirt. None of them seemed to diminish the, I don't know, Jerseyliciousness? of it enough for my taste.
Onward and upward. I have a looser leopard tank that I like just fine so I won't be going with out

Well it doesn't have the same vibe as your new purchases, that's for sure. It's perfect on your body, but if you feel like it's not *you* anymore style-wise, I vote to pass it on. Your style seems effortlessly casual, and this looks contrived on you somehow (if that makes any sense). And I'm used to seeing you in solids!

I think it is really pretty. Yes, a little bombshell but you could tone it down with some ladylike mates-like a black skirt and a blazer. Looks great but you have to decide if you can live with the look, my vote is keep!

I have this Three Dots top that fits great and flatters . . . but I never feel quite like 'me' in it. Love the neckline, but paired with the rest it feels just a tad over the top towards bombshell, which is not my style. Do you agree? Is there a way I could maybe tone it down or work it in to my style better? Or should I set it free? And if so, any regulars here interested?
