I'm not against surgical enhancement by any means, I'm just fairly certain it will never fit into my budget. The only thing I'll probably ever justify that kind of expense on will be new boobs once mine are a bit more saggy, or if I ever get to my goal of being super fit and maintain that for several years. I know that when I'm very active, my boobs shrink to almost nothing, like little raisins on a flesh colored bump lol Right now they are nice and full due to some weight gain, so I'm fine with them as is. The eye thing though, I might look into it. This eyeliner has really become my signature look over the past few years, and as materialistic and vain as it may sound, I would really hate to lose that. Maybe its not as expensive as I think it is? ...

Vesperholly are you ACTUALLY a ballerina?? I'm not, by any stretch haha... only in my dreams!

Thirkellgirl I have worn this with heels too (not since posting here) but I thought the flats were much more ballerina-esque.

Oh, and yes abc - I keep meaning to do a tutorial or something. One of these days!

I've got those sagging upper eyelids, too. The lady who does my brows at Anastasia says that a little botox would make a huge difference but I've never bit the bullet on that (although I probably will at some point soon). Yes, at some point the fancy eyeliner will not work well for you, the curves get lost in the sags. (That should be my life motto, lol). I would like to see that dress either a couple inches shorter, or you wearing a shoe with a little more heel to it.

I love your creative, edgy, bombshell style - I can never resist clicking to see your latest outfit. Graceful, edgy punk ballerina - looking great, from one punk ballerina to another ;)

Re: hooded eyelids, I can totally relate. If it bothers you, now or in the future, you could consider something like Thermage? It is a superheated laser (?) that boosts collagen production and tightens skin. (A bit of Botox also raises the brow, if that's within your comfort zone.) Personally I aspire to age like a cyborg Joan Collins, however, so take my words with a pinch of salt. My nanotech baths will be infused with the tears of my enemies.

I like your sense of humor and how it comes through in your posts.

Lovely outfit for a not so lovely day. Or so I would imagine. Snow in late March, ugh.

You should do hair and makeup tutorials for those of us needing skillz haha

Side note - I'm not happy with how saggy my upper eyelids are getting, which is quite visible in the close up of. It makes eyeliner increasingly harder to do properly! I'm sure I'll never have surgery on them, so I wonder if I'll ever have to stop doing that style of makeup??

E - that's a good point about goth vs punk. I guess my version of punk is a bit minimalistic, and I don't identify with goth but maybe less than 1% of the time, so that concept as a style inspiration doesn't even enter my thought process most days. But a colored shirt could be cute, now that I'm thinking about it!

I forgot to mention that, despite the (still falling) snow, I was hoping to evoke a bit of a spring feel with the light, floating fabric and dainty details.

I really like this outfit, but to me it reads as Goth ballerina more than punk ballerina. Both are fun (I love ballet inspired dressing too) though! I really enjoy seeing your outfits & how much you experiment with different looks.

(Perhaps for more punk, swap out the black tee for a different coloured one?)

Oh, nice! What a great dress. The shape and texture is pretty, but not in a too sweet way. Love the necklace and make up. BTW I do that frilly hemming on my serger and it's called roll hemming. I call the frilliness a lettuce effect

This absolutely works! Now, for more industries, this would not be "office attire," but this outfit displays that bit of creative energy which is a definite "do" in your work. The line is very flattering, and I'm sure it's even better in motion.

Feeling strong and graceful is an awesome thing. I can see this influencing your outfit creation this spring.

This ensemble feels much more focused and en pointe (see what I did there? ) than the previous one did. UGH that was a disaster. Anyway, I could have just as easily titled this "How the Right Clothing Makes One Feel Graceful" because simply having this outfit on seems to influence how I move and feel. Of course, the artsy poses are just for fun, but I do feel like sitting up straighter and walking more lightly.

The dress is a tea length cocktail style a-line, double layer of black chiffon with gold thread woven through it, and has braided straps that tie behind the neck as well as a matching braided belt. Because it's snowing today, and I'm not a complete wanton harlot most days, I put another shirt under that is double layers of micromesh. The sleeves are ... not sure what you call that, curly hemmed?? So they add a feminine feel to something that could look very hard and goth club-esque otherwise. I am wearing simple black tights, black flats with gold studs, and a gold and pink art deco style necklace/earring set. For makeup, I decided that very dramatic elongated cat eye eyeliner was in order, then softened that up with some pink lipstick and feminine flushed cheeks. My hair is left straight and smooth with a glossing hair spray to hold it in place.

What say you, fair fellow fabbers? Does this look like a better version of "Punk Ballerina"? Is anyone else experiencing the fresh fall of white death that we are getting here? Anyone else craving Cocoa Puffs right now?
