Natalie, great style! I also love the red trench. Like Suz, love the idea of it flowing out behind you as you bike!

You look amazing, Natalie! I especially love the idea of you cycling in that corset trench! I like to think of it flying out a little bit behind you!

Oh, that reminds me of this tiny little boy (he was 3, maybe?) riding one of those little bikes. He was going around Alki like a wild-man (feet up, too). Amazing! I didn't learn to ride a bike till I was 6 or 7, so it was amazing to me to see that tiny little guy zooming around!

Thanks Jenava! I loved your posts with all the cute outfits and practical cycling tips. I have a pair of bike shorts and I plan to wear them under my skirts/dresses when cycling so I won't have to worry about skirts blowing around. But these days we usually only get to bike with the kids, so we're not going very fast anyways. My 4 year old daughter has a little Skuut bike that she's now learning to ride and my 1 year old son is finally old enough now to ride in the trailer, so we're excited about getting into biking more again!

GP, your outfits are so inspirational! I've been hesitant to bike in flowy skirts for fear they'll blow up, but as Heleen pointed out on a different thread you can use a clothes pin to pin your dress around your legs...My next step is to try biking in heels...I haven't been brave enough yet but I am getting inspired to try!

Hi Rob & PUBLIC--thanks so much for this awesome contest and thank you Angie for your posts explaining Cycling Chic!

Before YLF my cycling uniform was pretty much always the same as my mom-on-the-go outfit: mom jeans, T shirt and fleece jacket with Merrell mocs or sneakers. Now that I've branched out fashion-wise, I'm realizing that you can also be chic and stylish while riding your bike too! I've always loved those pictures of Dutch, French and other European women riding their bikes in dresses and skirts. So it's a revelation to me that as long as I'm warm and comfortable, I can wear pretty much anything I want on a bike! I'm having so much fun with Cycle Chic that I'm submitting three outfits: one in jeans, one in a skirt, and one in a dress!

I've had this same bike since college and I would so love to win a pretty new one. The C7 would be perfect for me because the step-in would make it easier to ride with skirts and dresses, and faster to get in and out of, which would make me feel safer when towing the kids. The orange C7 would be fabulous--I love it, so practical yet stylish! Thanks again for posting this contest--I've had a lot of fun upgrading my cycling look and enjoyed seeing everyone else's chic cycling fashion as well!

1-2. Performance bike and Specialized helmet. Gap Always Skinny jeans, Banana Republic brown cowl tee, Lafayette 148 cognac leather jacket, Gap scarf and leopard print belt, and Mia brown ankle booties.
3. Anthropologie mustard blazer and blue and yellow floral midi skirt, Anne Fontaine ivory blouse, and Born bronze flats.
4-6. ASOS Motel Indiana black and red floral midi dress, Anthropologie red corset trench, Nine West black boots.
