Sounds like doing your research has paid off -- and your feet are happy! I think these both look great. In black, choosing a patent finish makes any shoe a little sharper and more polished. The Cloud shoes have some nice styling details to go with with the comfort, too.

Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for posting these brands and shoes - which I really like. I wear orthotics (or at least I should wear them - often I don't because it is hard to find shoes to accomodate them) - so it is always great to see what is working for other orthotic wearers.

Those are great finds. I know how wonderful it is to find shoes that meet the demands of comfort while providing some style! These are on board with two trends that I like a lot--lug-soles and sporty-luxe.

I recently discovered two brands that I'd never tried before. They both accommodate orthotics, and have the softest leather (as soft as the Taos sneaker). The first is Waldlaufer, a German company, that makes some of its shoes on an H last (C to D width). I bought these patent Sasha oxfords in store:

http://www.waldlaufer.com/Prod.....oductID=19

The patent is super, super soft. I had a little trouble with the shoe flopping because my feet are low volume (no arch), but a heel grip or a pad under the tongue should probably solve this issue. The thicker, platform sole makes them look trendy, and allows the shoe to be worn with both pants and skirts.

The second company is Cloud. Casual, but again super soft. I got these in black, and like the Waldlaufer's, intend to wear them with both pants and skirts (albeit black on black). These look narrower than the Waldlaufer's, but still accommodated my feet and made them look smaller.

They might not be the most fashion forward shoes, but if you have as many problems with your feet as I do, then both pairs are a wonderful, versatile discovery.
