Being fiscally conservative and disciplined is such an important trait. I too prefer certain combos and am a big outfit repeater. I also have a dressy and polished style. So the fact that the tops are seasonless and versatile will actually allow me to easily get cost of wear down In just a few months. I actually was wearing the black top w jeans today. It’s almost 100 F and I prefer my arms covered so the lace was working for me. But if I had a less dressy style it would be a total waste!! Everyone needs to assess what is worthy for them. A Canada goose coat, despite its cost, might be priceless to a Canadian but extravagant for a Floridian who goes skiing once a year. For me, after I set my budget, I focus on needs and “value” with less focus on the absolute cost. If the item gives my wardrobe and happiness level enough return on the investment of resources then it’s a good purchase for me. BTW still smiling at the image of your mom. I do like to dress in outfits more than capsules. For me there is often a best way to combine two or three items in a particular outfit so I tend to always wear it that way. Therefore each outfit and the clothes in it don't get worn that often and I may be hesitant to spend amounts more than a maximum of $150 ( and that would be very rare) on one top. I will have to wear such a top #30 wears to get it to my preferred CPW of $5 or below and it had better not wear out or I'll be cross!<br /> These lace tops are very pretty but for myself I would not spend that much.
