The woman in the shop confirmed that it is an original Coach, but seemed to think it would be quite expensive to have them fix it, and she was unappealingly snooty anyway. I had the cobbler in my hometown—same guy who’s had the shop since I was growing up there—replace it for me. I think it looks just fine. </p> <p>One other item for our little list of reasons to love the guitar strap is the ease of adjustment. Leather straps may have a buckle with 4 or 5 holes, giving a total range just under half a foot. The guitar straps I have can both be tightened to half their original length. I have two bags and a tote, and like them all. I bought an RM guitar strap when they first came out 2 years ago (?) but rarely wear it. I am kind of annoyed with myself for jumping on that trend when I did - the strap is too long on the RM bags unless worn cross-body style, and it's also too thick and wide to stay on my shoulder nicely. &nbsp;I clipped it to an inexpensive small (a knock-off of something) cross body I do have, and it's fine &nbsp;for the three times a year I can wear a x-body.
