				<description>&#060;p&#062;&#060;div&#062;JAileen, yes, I remember that thread (think I commented on it). Tampa, for example, has both a Nordstrom's and several Rack locations. Even though customers can't return Nordstrom's things to the Rack anymore, I think that they are sent from one store to the other, without leaving the city. That's far less transit than mailing them off to the online distribution center, where ever it is, and having them either send them out to another store or destroy them, as some companies do with returns. I'm not certain of any of this, but am not currently in a position to check it out. &#060;br /&#062;&#060;/div&#062;&#060;div&#062;But whatever the situation between the Rack and Nordy's is, I don't see how it inhibits people &#060;i&#062;taking returns to the store themselves and ordering replacements to pick up at the store&#060;/i&#062;&#060;br /&#062;&#060;/div&#062;

				<description>&#060;p&#062;I know I have purchased things at the Rack that were returned by someone else. Is that what Nordstrom generally does with returns? All the shipping back and forth is not environmentally friendly, but customers can reduce it by taking returns to the store themselves and ordering replacements to pick up at the store. I'd be very tempted to put a nickel in the pocket and see if it was still there when I repurchased (except of course you'd buy the replacement first)

The thing is, even if I had used the bag I ordered (which I haven't), I could initiate a return on the first one I bought and send back the new one, still saving $50. So, so wasteful. And, yes, I realize I am part of the problem by returning and reordering. I am playing the game, so it is as much my fault as it is theirs. But, heck, $50 here and $50 there and pretty soon you're starting to talk real money...&#060;/p&#062;

It IS a crap shoot as some of the items I got at the sale are now not available so I’m not sorry that I bought them during NAS. Many of the items do NOT go on future sale after NAS and there is no way to know which ones will go on further sale and which ones will be sold out for good after the sale ends. It’s a chance we take when we choose to buy something during the sale.

				<description>&#060;p&#062;Echo, I agree. It’s silly and wasteful. Last year I got a price adjustment by taking the item into the store, but I wonder if it’s gotten stricter this year. Someone must have worked the numbers and found this policy is fiscally expedient for them, but it’s a mystery to me why that would be. Does this just discourage more people like me from pursuing the reorder/return cycle? I would think the employee time wasted would not be terribly efficient. But yes, it certainly does take some of the gloss off of the sale every year. When I make purchases, this is in the back of my mind, and I do consider whether I’d still want the item at a higher price. Hence my hesitation on the VB blazer, the only item I got that has a further discount now.

Which means Nordstrom will pay shipping on the new order plus the return. Seems ludicrous but I have 4 pieces that are now less so it is foolish to pay more for items still hanging in my closet with the tags on.

I don’t think I really want to bother reordering, waiting for the delivery, and returning to the store for a return in order to save $40. Since I’m not even 100% sure I’m keeping the jacket anyway. Meh. &#060;/p&#062;

I just requested a price adjustment for the Pikolinos boots, which are now ~$10 cheaper. &#038;nbsp;I know a bunch of us bought these, and it looks like all or most of the sizes are in stock right now, so the price adjustment should work. &#038;nbsp;I'll let y'all know.

If the size you bought is not in stock at the time you contact them they will not issue a price adjustment. I was out of luck because I must have grabbed the only one in my size. Sort of an odd policy IMHO.
