The doctor told me no more heels or sandals. I got rid of a lot of shoes but see the wisdom in not wearing them. One accident and trip to the emergency room could buy a lot of shoes. At the time I understood the sandals but not the heels. I get it now after a few falls. It makes me feel old but you do what you gotta do. Our sidewalks are often snowy or icy or both. I will say that I have to be careful on cobblestone type surfaces. But it doesn't give me the ball of foot pain that almost every heel does. I was just looking for some comfortable ballet flats with memory foam, and a woman in an article yes mentioned Tieks. With feet very similar to yours, flat and low volume, and then, when needing dressy shoes, the Allison you have described here is something I’d like to remember. The ballet flats are for an upcoming trip, and I really can’t tolerate anything hard and firm on my feet and really want something soft and surrendering as well as supportive. One question: are the heels not too wobbly thin? I found her recently and I was crushing on her sling backs not realizing she had partnered with Jack Erwin (a new to me brand to create them). Backstory- I have flexible flat low volume size 7 feet. Since developing a neuroma (thank you no support Uggs boots) I need shoes that I can wear with orthotics. But sometimes you really need a dressy shoe so hence the hewi search was on. The Allison has a tiny kitten heel and the Mary Jane slingback was both elegant and secure looking. These shoes have been sold out with few sizes and colors available. I’ve been looking for years for a nude to me pump, which never works out, so I ordered the Allison in taupe because the black was sold out and I figured I’d try them for size. Recommendation 1/2 size up. The heels are the bomb. Comfortable. The heel is perfectly positioned right center heel so foot is secure, weight is balanced. No forward slippage. 1/2 size up definitely. Just fit perfectly. Straps perfect right out of the box and most graceful dainty tiny heel heel ever. I kept the taupe. Today was restock day. All sizes. All colors. I’ve already ordered the black and sizes are already selling out. If you can’t wear heels but need heels then highly recommended. Price $228.
