The heel measures 1.75” at highest minus the 1/4” but it feels lower than 1.5. It feels like an inch because the weight is totally over the heel. My ankles are 8”. There is s slight gap. And it’s slight. On a 10” ankle it will be fitted. I really love them. If you try them I find individual pairs vary by almost 1/2 size. Try them on. You can’t 100% rely on size like ariat. One was big bone small.
