My observations are from older women at church. They are bigger post menopause but lose weight and become thinner as they get older. As there are more of us… I suppose there will be more choice of clothing.

@Joy: Some items at Nordstrom come in XXS, but if you’re as tiny as you appear in photos that would still be too large for you. Interesting about your observations regarding older women getting smaller. I am finding that I have to keep my weight quite low in order to avoid knee pain while climbing hills and stairs. Maybe it won’t be quite the weight battle that I fear.

Thank you for your response to my question about sizing, Donna F. I suspected that may happen many brands I used to wear XS are sizing up to accommodate larger women. I am finding that I am constantly sized out. They will nave to size back down at some point as many of these women will drop weight as they get older and become smaller again. I see this with older women all the time at church. The last time I was at Chico's I took a OOO and it had to be ordered. A size 4 in that brand would be too big. Although some size 4's fit in dresses or jackets.

@Joy: Yes, Foxcroft runs way too big for you. Their smallest size is a 2, but their measurement chart says it is more like a 4 in other brands.

I needed to know if they ran big or small. Thank you. I am probably too small for the brand. I take an XS and some brands just don’t go small enough. I have a bundle of jeans that end up around my ankles. Not a good look for a 78 year old. Tops run too big in the armhole for my slim figure.

Seems to be a massive sale on Foxcroft shirts and shirtdresses including plus sizes at nordstrom.com. Their sizing runs big and IIRC their cuts are great for pear shapes. Very well made.
