When I was a teenager I wrapped tape around the back. But I just found some of those rings that had been sitting in a drawer for 20 years like that, and the chemicals in the tape had really damaged the metals! Even my “engagement” ring tends to spin on my finger a bit. </p> <p>Resizing is not always the answer because that sometimes causes a too-tight fit to slide over the knuckle. </p> <p>Well, I ordered this little kit from Amazon, and for a whopping $6, I’ve got to say I only wish I’d discovered this sooner. I have yet to put any of my wrapped rings through the paces of a lot of washing and wearing, but so far, so good.
