But I think part of what makes the Japanese streetwear iteration of this work (Muji is Japanese, after all) is the mix of inherently more casual fabrics &amp; silhouettes mixed together - the sort of thing I usually see here is like a slub grey t-shirt worn with an open chambray shirt, then a plaid shirt tied at the waist, with an olive puffer over the top &amp; maybe a hoodie layered underneath (I guess there's some Japanese influence on the HK scene too). But the version you saw sounds slightly more refined - that's the sort of middle ground I'd go for. </p> <p>@runcarla<br /> Good point - that might have been why I was subconsciously not drawn to the look for myself (the more masculine connotation (in my culture) of the 'Nehru jacket over kurta' look).
