As for shoes -- I think you need to think comfort, unless you are a take-your-shoes off kind of girl.  Is the dress the right length already for a 2 to 2.5" heel?  That would be the most comfortable.  If you need a higher heel, then you probably have many more options. I personally like a sandal (pedicure required!) as with bare feet you can better grip the shoe, and at least on my feet a sandal (with straps) stays on my foot better than a pump.  You could also wear flats but flats are actually less comfortable on some feet than a small heel. You will be on your feet all night, a pair of black pointy flats would be very chic and smart. (I think it would be cool if you could find some glittery ones.) I'm thinking you'll have the dress tailored a bit? To fit the bodice at the top and take up the hem? For a bracelet, I would think something "silver and diamond-sparkly (not real)."
