In one of the earlier seasons, a contestant from Little Rock- Korto- was a first runner up. A couple of local boutiques carried her designs and she was very nice in person. It's a small, suburban store, and he talked outside in the courtyard. Despite the lack of anyone seemingly under 5'7" (seems the height standard for runway models is still intact), it's nice to see a model who is slim but has a booty and hips, and others who seem to be that elusive "in between" size. It's always been a point of personal annoyance to me that I would never see models who look anything like me, in the size 6-8-10 range. They were all traditionally 0-2 (maybe a 4, gasp!) or in the 14+ range. Love the various-size models but I agree with Joy, no petites &nbsp;The twins are annoying, even though from my state and believe me most Michiganders don't talk like that! So far I kind of like Margarita (is that the name?) and the guy who won this week. I'm a fan of Zac Posen, he seems pretty nice. Nina makes me laugh but she is kind of harsh sometimes. The judges, less so. Michael Kors was so mean as a judge that I won't buy his merchandise. I have a bobblehead of him in my studio -- a reminder to "make it work!" </p> <p>Christian Siriano is from my area, and I've never met him, but we have several mutual friends who all agree he is a sweetheart, and they knew from the time he was very young that he was talented and had the drive to make it far. </p> <p>I also met Gordana from season 6 or 7 when she had a shop in San Diego. It's nice to see that one of the things they're doing this season is working with models of a wide range of size. It's also nice to see most of the designers expressing appreciation for that. I know, it's just a reality TV show, but I applaud them for featuring models outside of the old model-thin norm. </p> <p>Anyone else watching? I've been a fan for a long time but I've missed a season or two. </p>
