What I wonder about are the sleeve lengths, the jacket seems too long, which makes it look overwhelming to my eye. The reason is that it doesn't always work for multiple body types. In your case, you added multiple layers AND heavy fabrics to essentially the wrong half of your frame. Looking at the original outfit, it streamlines the legs with dark monochromatic colours in the boots and pants making them look thinner. The look highlights the top half of the body with lighter colours and heavier fabrics.
