I was using John Frieda's clear glaze for awhile and it was very effective. It made my hair very shiny and gave it a little body. I did notice that certain shampoos didn't interact well with it (didn't rinse out thoroughly without effort) but I usually use a clarifying shampoo so it wasn't a big problem for me.

Style Fan, no my color didn't change. I was looking for a way to color my hear without actually changing it's color I find that chemically treated hair has more volume. I couldn't find "clear" product in our stores. So, I found it on Amazon. Some reviewers noted that their hair got lighter but they applied it to their previously dyed hair.

Thank you Irina. I have never used colour or special treatments on my hair. I have noticed it is less shiny than it was when I was younger. It never occurred to me that there was such a thing as a shine treatment for hair. I don't want to change the colour of my hair. My question is does this product change the colour of your hair? My hair is golden blonde.

Thank you, Irina, I tried a similar product from L'Oreal a few years ago hoping that it would add volume and texture and it did help. I've not been able to find it in store since and will try the Clear Shine Treatment from Amazon. I had a shine treatment in a Salon that added shine but not the hoped for volume. My hair is fine and straight and could use a lift.

Thanks for the review, Irina. Good to know, and great that the product made a visual difference to the texture of your hair. I love the look of shiny hair. Enjoy.

For my silver/grey sisters.
This is a first product review for me - so bear with me.
I have light brown hair with about 40% grey, straight, fine and limp.
It used to be easier to manage it, I had it long until 5 years ago. Once I stopped coloring my hair, it went back to it's natural, rather flat self. I'm trying different products to bring some of the volume back.
Hence, this treatment.

Goal: add shine, change texture.
Expectations: low

I ordered the Clear Shine Treatment from Amazon, unfortunately it is not available in Canada. It's easy to apply, smells OK and suppose to last 4 weeks. The process is the same as with any store bought semi-permanent dyes.
I found it did make my hair more shiny. My greys are evenly distributed with no obvious streaks, so harder to see the results. I thought that afterward it looked somewhat more silvery (is it a word???). But I wanted an unbiased opinion. - so asked my husband if he can see any difference. He said yes it is by no means dramatically changed, the effect is rather subtle. I don't think that the texture is improved, but I can hardly expect it to from one application. I am still hopeful (or delusional) and would order again. Might as well use it to keep dull away from my grey hair.
We shall see if it will last a month but I think it worth a try.
