Bring on those photos, Joy! I can’t really gauge whether you’ll get away with these skirt styles or not, but my guess is that you’ll pull them off with style IF you keep the look sophisticated.

I haven't posted photos and really need to. When I start, you'll beg me to stop, I have so many things I'd like your opinions on. lol! My body type is a bit like San's, except she's shaplier and a bit taller than I am, I think.
I'm a 5'4" rectangle with my shoulders as my widest body part, very small busted and a bit short waisted. (In the past I've always bloused tucked in tops over the waistband to get proportions right...not a very polished look!) If I gain weight, I turn into an apple.
A 23" skirt hits me about right, but I can get by with a slightly shorter skirt if it's fuller. My legs are my best feature. I probably couldn't wear a Junior skirt because of the length, but would not object to shortening a longer skirt. I've never worn quite this style. The closest is a denim skirt that's now too big that has a dropped waist with pleats to give it some flare.

These are all very pretty! Joy, can you remind us what your body type is, as well as height? Since these are Junior styles, they might be on the short side, but it all depends on your height etc. Have you posted photos before? It would really help.

Maybe it's because it's almost spring, but I've been greatly attracted to skirts with a print and some flare that would hit me on or at the top of the knee. I like the bit of fullness that's not a pencil or simple a-line.

http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/30.....6&P=1

http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/30.....6&P=1

My concerns:
1) These are usually Junior styles. Are they too young for over 60?
2) They all seem to be shown with tucked in tops. What would you wear on top?
3) Do they require heels to look good?

I'd like a smart casual look that will be cool and comfortable with flats or wedge-heeled summer shoes. Any thoughts are much appreciated. Thanks!
