Sticking to a budget is my goal and I've been good at the last few months. When initially starting my wardrobe building I went over budget all the time - not good!! :-/

I love the brown dress, though! No frump at all!

Well, I am an admitted bargain hunter, so this list may not be realistic for many, but it so far seems to be a good guideline for me! By all means, steal away!!

Wow Mo! Thanks for posting the list. That's a great price guide to go by, I think I might steal it for myself!

I do set price points, but true love has no price For instance, I broke my price point on Frye boots but love them and know I'll have them for many many years. Now, for a knit top I might not go over $50 even if I adore it, just because I know it won't last more than a year or two.
Don't know if you care, lol, but here was my mock up list for this year's shopping. Obviously, I went over the boot/shoe price with my $235 Frye's but I am just adjusting the rest accordingly.

Yes, I set price points and only buy on sale these days. I occasionally miss out, but it bothers me more to pay full price and then see it marked down.

I do like the brown dress, very nice cut and fit on you, and think it would look great with turquoise or coral shoes and some complimentary colored jewelry/accessories.

What is saying frumpy about the brown dress? I don't see frump but if you aren't loving it, you might not wear it and that would be a sad thing.

Hey girls,

Sorry I was MIA for a while. Been quite busy lately and haven't had time to shop..... and considering my wardrobe for everyday life consists of gym clothes and uniform, I really had nothing to show for! I've missed you all! :)

I was thinking about this after a pretty successful (but slightly disappointing) shopping trip today - first in MONTHS! Do you gals ever set a ceiling or maximum price point for certain items that you are shopping for? Or are you the type of buy whatever you fall in love with?

For example, I saw this blazer at Tommy today (30% off!) but it was not in my size, so I decided I would go home and order it online thinking I would pay <$100 for it.

http://usa.tommy.com/tommy/bro.....olorId=410

To my great disappointment, this item was not on sale online! Since $100 was the cap I'd set for myself for blazers, I'd decided that I would not buy it.

Anyone else have a similar experience? If so, have you ever broken your price point "law"?

I found a similar navy blazer (1 button though! boo!) at H&M for $59.99. It fit well but I just didn't LOVE it.

BONUS - order the brown dress pictured in 3&4 in beige from Mexx. (pictured here: http://www.mexx.ca/women/looks/) I thought I loved it in the store but now looking at the pictures, I think it looks a little frumpy. Input?
