Our very qualities - empathy, resilience,&nbsp; - are turned around against us in this process: making us feel <i>guilty</i> for not being adequate, setting us up one against the other in a <i>competition</i> for beauty, <i>blinding</i> us. We fight very hard against this omnipresent alienation but if we are taken by hardship we can be fooled by the false promises of publicity. (In the process lose a few dollars).<br />In this sense, this forum is such a great antidote, because for one we are not pitted one against the other (it's a collaboration).
