Must be tricky to need the rain/snake protection and yet face the lack of breathability in the heat. Your posts clarifies why the one pair of rain boots I have has only been in out a couple of times. Winter is cold and wet; spring and fall can also be that way. If it rains in hot summer, I'll take my chances with other footwear as I can't imagine rain boots in the heat. </p> <p>I understand their function as gear and also in milder climates than mine. I have an ankle length zebra pattern&nbsp;pair that are so easy to slip on, and a knee high red pair. The ankle length ones don't give quite as much snake protection, but the taller ones as so hot in summer (country Australia here).
