Wow. I just figured I was pretty much like the majority of women, you know?

And my bras are brand-new so that's probably making my chest look more hourglassy than it deserves to look! :)

Okay, I'm going back to re-read your recommendations, this time as an hourglass.

Now I realize how my friend felt. All her life she thought she was an Aries (born on the cusp) and then found out she was actually a Taurus! She'd been reading the wrong horoscopes all along ...

I hear you. Let’s say you’re an hourglass that tends towards a pear, ever so slightly. You are so pretty!

What???

Please, I don't need another identity crisis!

I am a pear because my hips are one inch larger than my shoulders.

Plus, every rule you've written for pears, I know to be true for myself. Maybe the camera angle is throwing you off?

Hmmm. You are not pear shaped, Laura. Am I missing something? Do you think you tend towards a pretty pear?

No, I haven't tried the DK straight legs, and the info on the Nordie's website didn't list the width of the leg opening, so I just tried to guess from the photo. Based on what you're saying, I'll definitely try them. I am a huge DK fan too!

Laura:
I am a rectangle who leans toward pear and David Kahns are the best jeans I have found (for me, anyway). I tried the Joe's, but the rises were uncomfortably low (again, for me). I returned the Joe's for a pair of straight leg Kahns, and I like them a lot. Have you tried the Kahn straight legs and determined that they weren't skinny enough for you?

I purchased a pair of 7 for all mankind Roxanne skinny jeans. I really like the fit. I did have to have the waist taken in to remove a slight gap but now they are perfect.

Are you looking for skinny-skinny jeans or straight-skinny jeans? If you're looking for skinny skinnies, try Joe's Chelsea. If you're looking for a straighter (not tapered) leg opening, try the Cigarette fit instead.

I was nosing around for a pair to put on my wish list, and didn't find any by my fav, David Kahn. DK makes a straight leg, but not a true skinny. Angie mentioned that Joe's and Paige Premium are also good brands for pears - so maybe I should investigate and see if they offer skinnies.

Are there any other skinny styles that any other pears can recommend?
